Financial Quick Tip: What is the difference between a scholarship and a bursary?Scholarships are awarded based on academic merit (grades) whereas bursaries are awarded based on financial need. Both are non-repayable awards – you don’t have to pay them back like a loan.

The General Bursary application is available on-line http://www.uvic.ca/registrar/safa/bursaries/index.php with a closing date of October 15th.
